Paper Towns By John Green
Paper Towns by John Green is a novel about love, friendship, and courage. A boy, Quentin, and a girl, Margo, have been friends since she moved to the neighborhood but have drift apart during high school. Margo runs away leaving clues to where she is for Quentin. He now sets off on a journey with his friends to find his love. This book has a lesson of never giving up on what means the most. It was very well written and had plenty of jokes. It would have a hard time putting the book down at some parts. I would recommend the novel to teens and adults because of the humor and also the amazing plot.
Looking For Alaska By John Green
In Looking For Alaska by John Green, the author writes of a high school boy, Myles or "Pudge," who goes to a boarding school to experience more. He ends up falling in love with a girl at the school, Alaska, who shows him another side of life with his best friend and roommate. The plot was vey similar to Paper Towns, but nonetheless was still a very good read. The main character grew a great deal and the reader was able to follow along with the process. This is a novel that I would recommend to a more mature reader because of the rude humor and drugs incorporated. I still love the book and think the story was amazing.
Maze Runner By James Dashner
The Maze Runner by James Dashner novel has lots of drama and excitement. A boy named Thomas has his memory erased and is forced into a maze full of dangers along with other boys his age. They have spent the past two years trying to solve the maze in order to escape. When a girl is now forced into the maze, everything changes. The author wrote the novel in a way that has your gripping your seat waiting to find out what happens next. This novel is now one of my favorite because of the action and adventure integrated in it.
